Hannah Johnson
From a young age I have been fascinated with humans’ innate motivation towards healing, meaning making, and intricacies of the human psyche. These ponderings became louder after experiencing my first major loss of a loved one. The experience of grief hit me like no other emotional storm had before and I struggled to stay afloat. Yet, it was the juxtaposition of life and death that made me eventually understand the duality of my emotional world; to feel the full breath of grief allowed me to fully access the joys that life had to offer. This experience also made me ask the questions; who do I want to be and what does a good life look like to me? The answer to these questions have changed throughout major milestones in my life and will continue to evolve. One of the roles that has felt the most genuine to me is being a therapist. This role has allowed me to understand our human nature, our innate goodness, and feel confident in helping others navigate their own healing journeys. Outside of being a therapist, a good life to me looks like looking at the world with gratitude and curiosity, honouring my creative passions, and spoiling my cats.
